Architecture is the art, physical and social science of designing and constructing buildings. A building, regardless of size, should be of sound construction, be useful for its planned purpose and the people who use it, plus have a pleasing appearance. An Architect is a person who designs and builds buildings. Architecture is an Art thanks to the ability of the Architect to plan a building using the form of construction, material and design elements that results in a pleasing, functional structure that fits well into the surrounding environment of the building.
