Diary
The word Diary is derived from the Latin word, diarium, which itself comes from, dies, meaning day.
A Diary is a daily record of the writer’s own experiences, observations, attitudes, thoughts, etc.
This informal style is Autobiographical Writing.
Diaries are generally written for the writer’s use alone.
Therefore the diary has a directness to it that is nothing like writing done for publication.
