The first evidence of Greek statues comes from the Archaic Period beginning around 650BC. The Early Classical Period followed, lasting from 480 to 450BC. The Classical Period, from 450 to 400BC, marked the realization of the ideal form. The Late Classical Period from 400 to 300BC represents a decline from the ideal form.
