Contemporary art is difficult to define. In recent years science, technology and art have become united with the use of lights, sounds, computers and electricity. Videotapes, cinematography, and animation have also been under the spotlight. Some artists created environments allowing the viewer to take part in the art, while others focused on conceptual art.
