What is Art?
Art is the product of human creative skill and imagination.
Artist, a person who creates art, can express their creative ideas in many
ways. Music, painting, sculpture, dance, stories and pottery are all types
of art.
In 18th century England, London's Royal Academy began to separate functional art (e.g. furniture and pottery) from fine art (e.g. painting and sculpture).
Any creation, whether made by a child freely expressing themselves or a recognised master of great skill, is a work of art.
