Tim Burden is an automotive mechanic from Carling Township, near Parry Sound, Ontario. His interests range from automotive technology and engineering thru general science and technology to philosophy and science fiction.

He studied philosophy at the University of Toronto and Automotive Technology at Centennial College in Toronto and at this writing is studying Desktop Computer Programming at the Parry Sound campus of Georgian College.

Tim reads widely, but counts among his favorite authors astronomer Carl Sagan, evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins, science fiction laureate Arthur C. Clarke, and the Argentinian magic realist Jorge Luis Borges.
