Recent Georgia

Since the 1950's there has been infighting and many battles between the nationalists and the communists. By 1994 ties with Russia had been renewed. In this same year Georgia reunited with most of the former Soviet republics in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
These Georgian dancers hold to old traditions which give character to this country. [BM] {UA}
