Hang Gliding 2
Hang gliding has
three basic
launching methods. The first is known as foot launching.
By running down the
windward side of a slope or
jumping off a cliff, the glider can be airborne.
The second
method is called kiting or
tow launching, where the glider is pulled by
a boat until it
reaches an altitude of 120 to 150 m
(400-500'). The pilot releases the tow rope and
the
glider is free on the air currents. MORE!
