Figure Skating
Figure skating was
developed in
Holland when skaters realized
their blades left marks in the ice.
They drew
pictures, or figures
and the best figure
would win. Today skaters are
required to do
figures although
not of pictures but figure eights.
Figure skating is made up of
figures
and freestyle skating.
Jackson Haines of the USA was
named the "Father of International
