Cranial Nerves
There are 12 pairs of cranial nerves associated with
the nervous system. They are: Olfactory,
Optic, Oculomotor, Trochlear, Trigeminal, Abducens,
Facial, Vestibulocochlear, Glossopharyngeal, Vagus,
Accessory, and Hypoglossal. The cranial nerves help to
coordinate the different senses as well as some
specialized motor activities, such as swallowing,
speaking and facial expressions.
