Large Intestines
The large intestine is part of the body's digestive
system. The large intestine is made up of the following
structures: the cecum, appendix, colon, and the rectum.
Any water that is left over is reabsorbed back into the
body in the large intestine. The large intestine also
contracts in order to help along the reabsorption of
water and electrolytes.
