Epsomite
Epsomite is also known as hydrous magnesium sulphate. It is a colourless, gray, or white mineral
that is soluble in water and has a salty taste. In nature, epsomite is associated with aragonite and
gypsum. This mineral can be found in various salt lakes around the world. A notable deposit of
epsomite occurs in Epsom, England. Epsomite is used in medicine as Epsom salts, and in the
fabric industry as a mordant.
