Metamorphic comes from a Greek word meaning change of form. Metamorphic Rock is Rock that has been changed by heat or pressure. Metamorphic Rock can be formed from Igneous, Sedimentary or other Metamorphic Rock. Metamorphic rocks are quite coarse and crystalline.
