The region of
Yugoslavia once belonged to the Roman Empire. Under the Roman Empire, Yugoslavia was known
as the
province of Illyricum. By 600AD Illyricum was a Christian province. The hub of all
Christian activity was Serbia.
Serbia was settled by South Slav migrants in the 7th century.
Yugoslavia became a multinational & multiethnic
region.
